Potatoes

Carrots
- Carrots are available mid to late July.
- We grow
a Nantes variety of carrot which are known for their sweet taste
and superior flavor.
- Nantes are recognizable by their characteristic
blunt tip.

Beans
- String beans thrive in hot weather and mature
in early August.
- We grow three different colours - yellow, green
and a novelty purple bean.
- The purple variety turns green when
cooked and have an excellent flavor.
- Broad/fava beans are large lima-like beans and
each large pod contains 4-6 beans.

Peas
- Fresh green peas from the pod - nothing beats
this sweet taste and flavor!
- We grow the Green Arrow variety which
is ready for picking in late July.
- The peas climb on a 4 foot
fence/trellis, allowing for easy picking.
- Consumer demand for peas is high and supplies
often sell out quickly. Please call to confirm availability.

Beets
- We grow two different types - a round and a cylindrical shape.
- Both types
have excellent flavour.
- The long cylinder beets give consistent shape
for slices in beet pickles.
- Beet greens are excellent cooked and are
filled with lots of nutrients.
