Saskatoons, Rhubarb & Other Fruit
Saskatoons
Saskatoons are purple in color when ripe and
have a distinct flavour packed with lots of nutrients and antioxidants.
They are native to western Canada. Named varieties have been selected
from the wild, and we grow four of these varieties: Smokey, Theissen,
Northline, and Pembina.
Saskatoons are ripe in late July. They make excellent
pies, muffins and jam. Fresh saskatoon pie is a family favourite!

Rhubarb
A classic hardy prairie plant and one of the
first plants to show new growth in the spring.
Chop the fresh the red and green rhubarb stalks
and bake in pies and cobblers. Excellent mixed with other fruit,
especially strawberries and saskatoons! Available all summer during
strawberry season.
Rhubarb may be chopped and frozen, then used
throughout the winter in make delicious desserts.

Pin Cherries
A hardy native prairie fruit with bright red
translucent berries when ripe. This fruit, makes excellent jelly
and syrup. We grow named varieties, Lee #4, Jumping Pound &
Mary Liss. |

Evans Cherry
A large tart sweet prairie cherry. Grace's favourite jam! |
