Freezing strawberries

Strawberries may be frozen whole or sliced. Choose firm, fully ripe berries and wash berries, if desired. (At our farm, if I have picked the berries myself, I do not wash the berries, as this keeps more juice and better flavor.) Remove the hulls or stem cap. Add sugar to taste. Pack into freezer container. For best quality, use within 12 months.
